Comments on Sakar Murli – November 29, 2012

Essence: Sweet children, become Godly helpers and, like the Father, do the service of making the devilish society into the deity society. Be interested in doing service.

Question: Many children are unable to forget the old world even though they try to forget it. What is the reason for this?
Answer: Their karmic bondages are very severe. If you are unable to connect your intellect’s yoga to the new world because your intellect is repeatedly running to the old world, then it is said that it is not in your fortune, that is, your actions are wrong.

Question:What taste should you develop so that you cannot stay without doing service?
Answer:A taste for being merciful. Only those who have tasted knowledge know how to be merciful. Merciful children cannot stay without doing service.

Song: You are the Ocean of Love. We thirst for one drop!

Essence for dharna:

1. Serve to make others similar to yourself. Don’t perform such wrong actions that there would have to be punishment.
Make effort to become very, very sweet.

2. The Father is making us into the masters of the fixed and movable property (liberation and liberation-in-life).
Maintain the happiness and intoxication of this.

Blessing: May you be a knower of the deep philosophy of karma and experience alokik pleasure in Brahmin life.

Brahmin life is a life of pleasure, but to be in pleasure does not mean that you simply do whatever you feel like and remain intoxicated with that. That pleasure of temporary happiness or pleasure through temporary relations and connections is different from the stage of constant happiness. Simply to say whatever you want, to do whatever you want and then say that you remain in pleasure – do not become those who please themselves temporarily in this way. To stay in spiritual alokik pleasure for all time is real Brahmin life. Together with having pleasure, also be a knower of the deep philosophy of karma.

Slogan: Instead of having the ego of “I” (ahem) and having doubts (veham), have mercy (reham) on everyone.

COMMENTS:

In this Murli the emphasis definitely is on service. Note that Baba is encouraging the children to go out there and to give the knowledge to people specially to find “important” people to give gyan.

Many will wonder why. Because something becomes accepted easily if important people endorse it. That was part of Baba’s “strategy for service.” He also mentioned about some other strategies for Baba is busy thinking about service, and he wants the children to do the same.
The incentive is the “status.” How are you going to get a good status if you don’t do service? As mentioned many times, what was the “strategy to do” at one point may not necessarily hold true today.

Now we realize that “status” is not just a matter of getting it by “doing service.” There is way more to it and that is basically related with our numberwise ability to “die alive,” and become soul conscious.

Some individuals will remain busy “in service.” That is good for them. An idle mind is the worst “enemy;” but at the same time for those who have greater strength; it becomes a source of inner knowledge.

The point here is that Baba is demonstrating that service is necessary to survive in Brahmin life. That service could be done by means of “talking gyan,” or a more subtle way of doing it with the mind; although this requires greater practice. To give gyan to others is referred in the Murli as “being merciful.”

Also note Baba’s explanation about receiving the “inheritance.” Obviously back then the points of “receiving an inheritance which is greater than any other soul and claiming the highest status,” was considered their objective in spirituality; and that is why Baba had to continually balance that out with phrases such as:” You have to be very sweet as well,” or “you have to imbibe divine virtues;” etc. as if those items were “separate.”

This is why, now we can see that by becoming soul conscious all of those things are achieved.
Baba also expresses that our intellects may not be connected to the “new” world; and today he mentions that remembering the new world is equal to remembering the Father “When you remember the Father, you also remember the inheritance.”

Basically, we see that for Baba back then being busy in the service of explaining gyan, was the main item for through this, expansion could take place.

Note that the Q/A today does not match what the Murli mentioned:

Question: Many children are unable to forget the old world even though they try to forget it. What is the reason for this?
Answer: Their karmic bondages are very severe. If you are unable to connect your intellect’s yoga to the new world because your intellect is repeatedly running to the old world, then it is said that it is not in your fortune, that is, your actions are wrong.

Towards the end of the Murli, we find this:
“Nevertheless, you children should have so much happiness that you are once again claiming your inheritance of heaven from Baba. However, this is incognito. The account of karmic bondage is so severe that you don’t even forget the old world. Your intellect’s yoga hangs on to worthless things; it doesn’t connect to the new world. That is called wrong actions.”

This is something to be careful of when listening to the Murli, for in the Q/A basically states that if you cannot connect your intellect yoga to the “new world,” is because that is your fortune… and not only that but your actions are wrong… 🙂

Whereas in the Murli itself, it is just describing that some children cannot connect but it is not determining that “it is not in their fortune,” and at the same time not being able to connect could be called as a “wrong action.”

I also enjoyed the blessing: “To stay in spiritual alokik pleasure for all time is real Brahmin life. Together with having pleasure, also be a knower of the deep philosophy of karma.”
