Comments on Avyakt Murli – April 28, 2013
The 3 elevated Godly blessings – original: 1/27/76
In this Murli, we have different points which take us into the aspect of being a donor, a bestower.
Before commenting on that there is a question that I have:
I would like to know about the part titled “personal meeting with BapDada.”
Whose personal meeting that was? It was right after that Murli?
The reason is that by placing a “personal meeting” as something for “everyone,” then it beats the purpose of a “personal meeting.”
Feeling “God as a companion,” is good. That intensity will vary among BKs for we are numberwise. Not needing support from any “bodily being” has a different meaning for everyone. I know that most BKs, will say that “God is their support.” That is good. But please see that “there is a support other than yourself.” A child needs the support of his father. That same child when he becomes an adult, he is supposed to go beyond that support, for that is called growth. Similarly happens in spirituality. We need to grow at one point.
Also , there is a “new part” in the latest avyakt Murlis; known as “ Some points for avyakt Murlis.”
It would be nice to know the dates of those paragraphs. Piecing together different Avyakt Murlis could be challenging, unless we understand what BapDada mentions without a “childish understanding” for then a “literal” understanding will take place without the setting and circumstances of the moment. As BapDada Himslef has mentioned, “circumstances and setting” are important to accurately understand a teaching.
With those questions out of the way, now “I” will go back to the Murli.
The most important point in this Murli, from my viewpoint was:” In Brahmin life, receiving is in giving.”
From that deep point, we can build that whole Murli.
BapDada is talking about being a “bestower,” overflowing like the Father. We need to have something to give, and we need to have the “treasures,” and bestow virtues, etc. We need to become donors beyond the limited circumstances; that is, to become “unlimited.”
Note that a separation between “me” and “others” is there. Since by giving, I am really giving myself; then; there is no “other.” The illusion of perceiving “others” as different than “me” is a source of ego.
How is that, for evidently “I” am different than “him”? Because in the Drama we are perceiving roles. Personalities are part of ego, an illusion based on our little “mind,” but the reality of knowing about “roles” will take away the perception of the “other.”
There is another soul, but the “role” is not that soul. As a matter of fact, that role is a “teacher” so I could perceive and understanding “duality,” for any preference of a particular “role,” means to set ourselves for suffering; which is ego.
Nevertheless, when we cannot perceive the unity of all, when we cannot see that all roles are needed as they are and whenever I have difficulties accepting and appreciating roles; then division between “me” and “others” is necessary; however, as pointed out; from another perception, which is the one of being a “detached observer,” that is the “movie” is there as it is.
BapDada mentioned that by being a detached observer, “you will not be influenced by the suffering of karma.”
However, the teaching does not finish here. The importance of love through being merciful and cooperative is also brought up by BapDada.
That mercy needs to flow through our thoughts, deeds and feelings. That is the complete “package,” that is to be an embodiment of love in the experience of a detached observer. That is the deeper meaning of “having all relationships with the Father,” as he Himself has stated in previous avyakt Murlis.
Dear divine soul, Om shanti.
‘Personal meetings’ means: Those days, that is, nearly till the eighties, after the avyakt murali, BapDada used to meet individuals, and small groups personally. That means, the organiser would send one group / individual to the gaddi at a time to talk to Baba. If they could not speak Hindi, there would be an interpretor who would help them. That is why those days muralis used to be very short and there would be any number of personal meetings. Dadi Gulzar would sit on gaddi in the evening around 7 o’clock and would get up from the gaddi the next day as late as before or after amritvela time! But she would just get up and go, would not feel any stiffness in the legs!
So, there was nothing secretive in the personal meetings, and what we read are just a collections of what BapDada said in a few meetings.
One senior BK, now around 40 years in gyan told me/ rather confessed; after the murali was over, they would wait for their turn to talk to Baba and to take toli and drishti from Him. But being ‘kids’ they would sit in groups and ‘gossip’ in the hall while the other meetings were on. 🙂
Another BK told me that after his meeting with Baba finished (late in the night), he started to leave the hall (History hall?). Before exiting from the door, he casually waved at Baba signalling he was leaving. Baba was talking to some one at that time and looked at him and waved back! The groups used to be small those days and almost every two days there used to a Baba’s milan/ meeting.
Where was i at that time??? i was in my DEEEEEEP sleep. 🙂
regards,

Thank you avyakt7, for sharing your churning and bringing out a wonderful point for the SOULS:
“The illusion of perceiving “others” as different than “me” is a source of ego”.
