Fear of dying

fear1

When we go to bed every night, are we afraid that we will not wake up? 🙂
How could we make sure that we will be awake the next morning?
Perhaps by buying extra life insurance? Or by having some belief in our mind that we will go to a ”better place”?

Mind games.

There is no certainty about nothing. All we have are beliefs to give us a fake certainty.
The beauty of uncertainty is daunting for many.

Once we abandon the territory of thoughts, beliefs, thinking and speculating about life and death (duality) then we could be open to observe, watch and learn about ourselves.

Perhaps at that moment we could feel that this consciousness of being alive is amazing. It is not something to hold on to, but something to appreciate and to enjoy.

That is living.

The thought of losing it will make our “hell in heaven.”
Then we want desperately to continue on, and that is how a belief system to give us comfort will be needed.
We worry, we fear, we want dry intellectual answers which will not quench our thirst for certainty.

Being aware, conscious is fantastic! Not being it while “alive” is to be a fish without being aware of the Ocean surrounding it. A fish without water… 🙂

The duality of life and death is just a perception.
We hold on to one side of the coin and fear to lose that “good” side.

Consciousness “is” ….untouched by that duality.

Consciousness moves. It continues to change despite our stubbornness in being attached to an idea, a belief, a dogma…a thought.

“Rest in Peace” is sheer ignorance. Something polite to say. Something “nice” so we could look good…
But it does not reflect the reality of movement, of change, of life.

To be “settled down” in the idea of a static personality is to forbid ourselves the opportunity to flow with change.

To hold on to anything… and that is anything, is to be an unconditional slave just like when we separate from anything. We go to the extremes to know the middle.

The above paradox is quite deep. It is out of the reach of most who only know about separation to be detached or to become attached to something to feel alive.

It is that “I” who separates and who attaches.

Thus, when there is no “I” there cannot be separation or attachment.

That is Oneness.

When you are but “you” are not. Enjoyment when “you” are and when “you” are not.

Being and not being, the mystery which needs to be unfold by each one of us, when we are ready for it.
No later not before, that is the perfection of destiny… of life. 🙂
