The insanity of expectation

If Life brings lemons, and I dream about strawberries; how can I come at peace with my disappointment?

By forgetting yourself. Going beyond “you” and your problems, your unfulfilled mental dreams, your drama. “Others” exist in integration when we forget ourselves. Before that consciousness, “others” is only separation, a barrier. As Sartre said: “Hell is other people.” So …”Heaven” is only “you.”

Society will teach us to imitate somebody as a role model.
“He lived with lemons. Be like him.”
Imitation brings repression.
Repression is a form of dishonesty.

Every time Life brings what we desire easily; we learn that Life “works for us.” We learn to expect that. Ego increases.
When that which we desire does not appear despite our “efforts,” we become bitter, disappointed, angry, etc. Ego increases as well.
Therefore, whether we get what we desire or not, still ego will grow through our expectations. Growth of ego is part of Life, and paradoxically, that is its natural path for dissolution.
Forget yourself. That is the fast lane. You cannot drive there? Then continue with your expectations. Paradoxically, that is another way to forget yourself. That is the slow lane.

Anything that we desire, may come to fruition at a time when we least expect it.
When there is expectation, we cannot enjoy the experience of living Life as it IS, for our minds are always looking for something which does not exist. That is insane.

Life is unexpected.

Deconditioning is the only “spirituality.”

What is in our minds is mostly conditioning. Learned behaviors, laws, morality, traditions, etc.
It is that conditioning which is the main obstacle for openness, surrendering, no-I.

Ego, the “I,” thrives in conditioning. It feels safe. That is the comfort of the known. Unchallenged, we behave just like robots: According to the software installed in us.  A society or a religious group relies on conditioning for the behavior of followers will be predictable.
This predictability is desirable to live in groups, societies. Control is geared to this end: Predictability.

If you are unpredictable, you become a menace to society.
How predictable is the weather? How predictable are acts of god?
Nature is unpredictable that is why it is feared.

Modern man has been conditioned to live in his own bubble of concrete, noise and technology. It is called safety. Nature is out, thus; to decondition someone, Nature should be “in.” That is the first step for humans, are part of Nature.

The whole idea of “spirituality” has been distorted to fit predictability. Become wise like some spiritual entity who can give talks but does not live Life like humans, practice some commandments or some “namas and niyamas,” without ever realizing if “I AM” those or “I am DOING” those. There is a huge difference.

Be nice, loving, compassionate, etc. Those are the teachings.
Why?
Because most Humans are not that, but they must behave like that. Nice, Loving and compassionate are concepts to practice, defined by lengthy words. We must fit into the definitions.

Inherent goodness in a person is found in the process of deconditioning, but it is thought and sold that further conditioning will make the trick.

Have you seen a salesman interacting with a potential customer?
The smile is fake. The interest in your needs is fake. The nice and charming ways are fake. Why?
There is an interest, a goal. Sales.

Every religion that has a goal for a follower such as heaven, paradise, god or any other lofty objective has an inherent interest, just like a salesman. However, religions (like salesmen) have a place in society, they have a reason to be: They change our conditioning into another type of conditioning, which we then call “truth,” true love, true morality, etc. That is to differentiate it from the one morality and love which are not “true.”

Here is my statement: Spiritual teachings are not needed to flourish in Life but Deconditioning is necessary to live a happy meaningful life. Before someone invents a “method” or “technique” and puts a catchy label for the masses such as “the True Tantra of Deconditioning,” let me say this, deconditioning cannot be taught. It has to be realized, we need to dissolve our luggage of emotional traumas. Deconditioning is not an idea to be understood, a concept to be practiced.

For lack of deconditioning; methods, techniques, steps are used to obtain something artificial which looks like the ideal, the objective in our minds.

Before trying to become some “spiritual” ideal, it is very important to know who you are for “You” are underneath the layers of conditioning.
In the knowledge of the self, freedom is not gained by fighting, but by giving up. Deconditioning is another word to describe that process. 🙂

Tantra: The path of openness

Openness means lack of rejections, repressions. To acknowledge the existence of “what is;” because if it is,  it has a reason to exist.
Tantra is not for everyone. It typically arrives towards the end of a journey of many lives.
Every suppression, every rejection, every emotional trauma had caused and nourished an entity inside us, which we call ego, the “I.”

That entity is not “bad.” It is the result of living many Lives without awareness. Through Tantra, that emotional energy which is defining our personality, collapses little by little and something new emerges, something which is able to integrate everything that is.

Sexual energy is part of that. Most individuals are only aware of sex as energy for reproduction or for recreational purposes due to the pleasurable sensations. The offset of that, is loss of energy as in Nature there is a subtle balance of dualities. That is known as harmony.
That is why, there is Tantra; to maintain that balance and enjoyment as much as possible.
Thus, this type of sexual energy has a different purpose: To increase vitality in the participants, to re-energize, to bond, to freed.

Because this is a discovery, it cannot be taught; but Life will bring the answers when we are ready for we are one with Life.

Sexual energy is repressed in our society for lack of understanding. One of the greatest gifts that Life has given us, is mostly feared as if it was a nuisance rather than a gift. Emotional traumas are part of most individuals at this time. That is how Tantra acquired a different reputation: Individuals who were not ready for the catharsis that implies self-realization, used Tantra as a “spiritual way,” a method to rationalize the indulgence in sex.
Please consider this: Any method to attain something, only shows that “naturally” we are not ready for it.

Tantra is not just about sex. It is about Life, and sex is part of Life. Nevertheless, most individuals are only concerned with the “techniques,” the “methods” to excel in sex according to their minds, without realizing that even if the individual is sexually satisfied, he cannot be fulfilled in Life.

The icing of the cake became the greatest thing to eat, but the belly is still hungry.

When emotional traumas, detrimental beliefs, hang ups are dissolved from ourselves, what is “natural” will arrive again. That innocence that many are looking to attain by DOING things, will be there. That peace, calmness, “going with the flow,” will arrive by itself. It is through this new being how sexual energy can flow naturally, as it is meant to be.

Wherever you are in Life is “good.” It is an unique experience of the range of experiences in Life. That experience will change and move on. It is never static.
Observe that the waters of the Ocean of Life are moving continuously, it is in that awareness how the realization of the uniqueness of the moment arises. That is all there is.
Anything the mind “thinks about” is just a cloud moving in the sky, taking your attention out of the Ocean. That cloud changes its form in your mind: It could be a position, power, riches, etc. all of those things valued in our conditioned mind… yet the Ocean is missed, living in the “now” is missed.
You can touch the Ocean, swim in it… but with a cloud, you can only do that with your mind.
Most humans at this time are caught with the cloud and even calling it: “My cloud.”

Tantra is awareness, for in awareness we are living life; appreciating this unique moment, tasting it.
The mind is concerned with a purpose, a reason, a goal for existing… That is the cloud. Ideals bring methods, laws, commandments, techniques to “achieve” the cloud.

That is the human condition: To live in the cloud of the mind, without a chance to taste the feelings of the Ocean of Life.
What is the “spiritual”change needed? To look at the Ocean and feel it with all your being. 🙂

Nothing but the “truth.”

Many seekers are all enticed by the “truth.”
Finding the  spiritual “truths” in books, or talks becomes their motivation, as if the truth could be written or shared to another.
When we deal with the “Office world,” truth could be a synonym of “fact.”
When we look at Life, any fact could be viewed from many perspectives depending on our state of consciousness.

Death of a person could be a “fact” of termination, a “fact” of a new beginning, or a “fact” of continuation.
In the “Office world,” Death is a fact of “loss.”
What is the only truth of those “facts” about death?
Caught up in meaningless words, questions and answers, we are unable to see the journey.

In this blog, I share a journey, which is my truth.
From my first post here on 2/26/12 to the last one as of today, 10/31/16. That is the journey. No one using human language could ever share “truth.”

The truth is not what you believe in. It is not what is widely accepted. The “theory” that “majority cannot be wrong;” is just conditioning for those who believe in “right or wrong.” The “majority rule” could be a fact in the “Office world,” where the important thing is to sell stuff, economics, supply and demand, etc. but in Life… that is just a perspective based upon collective consciousness, conditioning.

Observe your own journey. Do you see the changes?
Many times we will not be able to notice dramatical changes, for there is an orderly process, a day by day subtle movement; but if you go back to the first day in your Life that you have recollection of; and then switch to today, you may see them. Everything is cool when changes are gradual, but when Life changes course immediately, a 180 degrees turn, that is when the ego is swamped by trauma. The ego does not like change; that is why, it separates from Life.

The truth of living Life in joy, cannot be found in books, seminars, talks, etc.
Just like a self–realized individual is not standing behind certifications, degrees and many years of living under a religious/spiritual dogma.
Living Life in awareness, feeling it; may give us more than answers. It gives us fulfilment.

Feel Life empty of words. Feel beauty without the word beauty.
The word beauty, creates ugliness and that is how innocence is lost.
It is not the word, but our strong belief in that word, the ideal, the mind.

Lighten up from the heavy hindrance of conditioning.
Allow for the heart to lead your direction.
Love will no longer be a pretty word, a cliché to hide our inability to feel.

The truth is in the depth of our feelings not in the complications of the mind and its emotions.

Truth is already within us and the journey, Life is there to become aware of it.  🙂

The mind’s talk confuses everything

The mind says: “ if “my free will” is rubbish, then I am predestined, I am a puppet of destiny… That is sad!!”

🙂 That “I” does not exist. Who is predestined then?
Until you realize and experience, “No-I” you cannot possibly understand anything but “I.”
“I am God. I am a son of God. I am an angel. I am wealthy. I am beautiful. I am ….” That makes up your society, your religion, your language, your ideology.

Some readers send their questions, but they cannot understand that the writer “avyakt7” does not exist anymore. Ahnanda cannot answer those questions, for those questions are set up for a particular answer in a particular consciousness.

For instance, someone asked about the relationship of beauty and lust and then the difference between lust and greed. “I want to know” the reader said.
Your consciousness is caught up with language. It will not do anything to you, to know the difference or relationship of 2 words. See those things in yourself. Understand them in yourself. Let go of your mind’s talk to observe.

For some readers, lust is something ugly, something ”bad.”
For some, lust is something to avoid, to reject, to repress.
However the same energy of lust, is the one transforming into compassion (good feelings and good wishes) like day transforms into night.
Some want to have day at all times and reject night. That is called an ideal. Ideals are illusions.

John is lustful with a woman. Is that lust going away if John decides to change his “behavior”? Is that lust going away if John represses his lust? If he knows the difference between lust and greed or the relationship of lust and beauty?
Everything John DOES will be a cover up.

Observe it. Become aware of it in the moment that it appears. This is not a mental: “Aha! This is lust… I will observe it!” That will not work, that is the mind. To observe means to feel everything without trying to escape, without trying to act on it, without judgment or labeling. Experience the triggers, experience how it appears… and how it disappears. But most don’t experience that because there is rejection and guilt in them. Then it stays stuck, it becomes a trauma.

Learn to let go. If we learn to control, we cannot observe.
Some minds will only keep one side of the coin as the “good one,” but yet a coin needs both sides to be a coin.

Get out of the mind, the labels, the judgments and merely observe, be aware of the continuous change, be empty.
It is that emptiness what some call love, others compassion, others God and yet others… are afraid of it. Different perceptions. Different stories.   🙂

Having, Doing, Being … and … Non-being

birds-anonymous

“I have too many things to be thankful about.”
“I am doing the best I can.”
“ I am someone.”

The “I” world is in town again…
Do we want to “transform” that “I” into a “better” “I”?
Obviously that would be a trip to “Ego-land.”
All expenses paid.

“Having” comes from “Doing” and doing comes from “Being.”
That has been the repetitive mantra for “self-transformation.”

In fact, “Being” what?
That is a hard question to answer, unless we would like to add pretty words to that answer, such as: “good, kind, friendly, loving, etc, etc.”
If we are “something,” we will act according to what we are.
There is a subtle depth in the above phrase.

If we are “something,” we cannot think about “changing the world” for what we are will compel us to act in a certain way under all circumstances and perceive the world with the glasses of who we think we are.
We are framed, stuck by what we think we are.

Nevertheless, Life is change.

Johnny found 20 dollars down the street.
Johnny wanted to be “good.”
He was the typical “Johnny be good.”
Johnny asked to all of his “spiritual” gurus what he should do with that money. He was expecting the “right” answer to be the same from everyone. After all, there must be only one right answer. That is logical. 🙂

Master A: Why did you pick up that $20 bill? You should have left it alone there. There is karma associated with picking up something, which is not yours.
Master B: We have a box for donations, so we could do “good” to others who need it. Place the bill there. That is a good “deed.”
Master C: You don’t know what to do with it? Give it to me then.
Johnny was confused. Johnny thought that there was a “right” action to do under every circumstance.
Johnny HAS a $20 bill. Johnny did not know what to DO with it… because Johnny wanted to BE good.. Obviously… he wasn’t “good” enough, for otherwise he should know what to do. 🙂

Johnny is completely framed by thoughts and philosophies from others of what “being good” is.
That is the problem with trying to “be” someone when you are not “being.”

It is in that insincerity or lack of honesty with the self, when “morality” appears.
Here “Johnny be good,” these are your commandments, the codes, the laws for you to follow so you are “good.”
That is the issue with the “I” trying to be someone who is not.

Fortunately, there is non-being. It is in that state of consciousness when “help to others” and being “good” automatically is “done” without thinking about it. In non-being, there is only Totality, the common good.

Being “good” is not dependent on actions as in the example of the $20 bill.
It is dependent on how egoless, that is “non-being” we could “be.”
That is why we need to be honest with our intentions when residing in the consciousness of “I” and “being.”

If our consciousness is located in non-being, there is a different “law” for that, which could be easily misunderstood by those who haven’t experienced it.
It cannot be written, it cannot be spoken about, it cannot be framed into a philosophy.
Being comes from Non-being. 🙂
