Realizing or “Churning” Knowledge – Avyakt Murli- January 10, 1988
Note: For those who are wondering on how to “churn” knowledge? From the “unlimited Teacher.” 🙂
———————————————————————————————————————————–
Today BapDada is observing how far each of his invaluable jewels has accumulated the jewels of knowledge – each jewel of knowledge is invaluable, and the Father has filled unlimited jewels in the apron of the intellect of each child. Baba gives and equal amount of jewels to each child, but these jewels keep increasing the more they are used for the self and for others. Some have increased their jewels and others have not – some only use them at a time of need, while others use them always and increase them multi-million-fold. Some are not able to use these jewels as much as they should, and so do not understand the value of the jewels – they do not experience the attainment of an obstacle free stage, of happiness, joy, power, and peace. The reason for this is lack of churning power – the knowledge is in the intellect only and has not been inculcated or absorbed. Those who churn, use the knowledge in every task in life – whether for themselves or for others. The others just remember in the intellect what they have heard, without making it part of their life.
Just as with physical wealth, if knowledge is stored away and not used then that wealth will not increase. The jewels of knowledge must be brought into life and used in action, or they will not give real joy. Knowledge is compared to jewels – it is also compared to light, and is a power. Knowledge is an elevated weapon for fighting a battle. The more the knowledge is used in action, the more there is the experience of power within the self. A weapon is useless if it is not used when it should be used.
All of you have a right to the jewels of knowledge, and so have them with you – but you are number-wise in being full of them, because of lack of churning. To have food is one thing, but to digest that food, and turn it into blood, and make it part of you, is another. When you churn knowledge, it becomes your own – you claim a right over it. This will bring intoxication.
To churn means to go into the depth of the Ocean of Knowledge – to be introverted and go into the depths of each jewel. Through this you will understand the significance of each point of knowledge, and will find out and enjoy the intoxication it has, and will come to know when it can be used in action for other souls. While churning, it is only theory, but when you are tested, you will find out whether you churned accurately or not. Have you conquered Maya with ease – or was there labour and waste?
You should know how to use something and have the practice of using it. Scientists bring powerful bombs to the battlefield, and think they will definitely win because they have such bombs, but if they don’t use the bombs properly they will miss the target and go to waste. The method of using the weapon was not right. Similarly, each jewel of knowledge is very, very valuable – no adverse circumstance or obstacle can stand in front of the jewel or power of knowledge. If there is not success or victory, then the method of use is not accurate.
Churning must be a constant practice, or you will not be able to use each point of knowledge when it is needed, you will not be able to remember which point to use or how to use it. Don’t be careless like Kumbakarna, who said “let them come – we will conquer them when they come”, and did not prepare beforehand. This carelessness is deceptive. So day by day keep increasing the power of churning. Whatever you hear in the revised course sakar murlis, or in the avyakt murlis, you should churn on that. Every day you hear different points – so churn every day on on different points, and increase your power of churning. Churn all day, every day, even while working or doing service, whenever your intellect is free. There are many tasks where you don’t have to use you intellect much – there is very little activity in which you have to pay full attention – you can think of other things at the same time – so while performing actions, while walking etc. If you get some time in solitude, it is very good – at that time you can go into the depth and clarify further some point. Go into the details of the point, and you will really enjoy it. But first become the embodiment of the point – experience its intoxication – and then go into the expansion. Then you will not become bored. If you just keep on repeating points you will lose interest – so experience the point and go into the depths – get intoxicated by the point, and understand its significance. Experience a knowledge-full powerful stage (swadarshan-chakradhari).
So whenever you get some time, make your intellect practice churning. It will become easy for you to conquer Maya automatically. Maya will go away on seeing you busy. No need to allow Maya to come, then fight with Maya – that is slow progress. Now is the time to make fast progress – now is the time to fly.
If you know how to churn, the power of churning will make it easy and natural for you to experience a merged stage of remembrance – a stage merged in Baba’s love. While performing mundane actions do not allow the intellect to be filled with mundane, ordinary thoughts – but have a powerful stage, powerful remembrance. Don’t just perform karma, but be a karma yogi, a yogi in action – churn or remember Baba, while performing mundane actions.
Those who practice churning will be able to attain whatever stage they want to attain – if the link is proper there will be no leakage – you will be able to experience easily, at will, the angelic stage, the seed stage, etc. When the knowledge is remembered well or churned well, then the Bestower of Knowledge is also remembered automatically. So do you understand how to churn? Is it easy or difficult?
To al the knowledgeable children of the Ocean of Knowledge; to all the elevated souls who conquer Maya easily with the power of churning; to all those who increase the practice of churning, and with churning power experience themselves to be merged in the Father’s love; to those who understand the value of the jewels of knowledge; to those who use the power of knowledge in action; to such special and invaluable jewels who always maintain such a high stage, BapDada’s love, remembrance, and namaste.
Question: Dear Bro… Since your role no longer churns sakar murulis which i liked when you brought up many new points in them. Can you please refer me any site where i can get the whole muruli in english ? All i have found till now is only Question,Dharna, blessing and slogan of the whole muruli. But i want the whole of it. I am into gyan only for about 3 months so kindly help. Best wishes. :)
Thank you for your question and request!
Dear soul,
Welcome to the BK world! The world of reformation of the self. 🙂
First let me tell you the reason why I stopped sharing my “churning on Sakar Murlis.”
As you know, some souls liked the points. Others, totally reject them. Nothing new. We cannot please everyone. However, whether someone likes or dislikes the posts shared here, is not the issue; for they are free to “like or dislike” as I am to share them.
Sakar Murlis are talks of a Father with his children. In this case; it is believed by us,BKs to be God through the “filtering” of Brahma Baba’s experiences and understanding. It is a mix of knowledge with experiences of Brahma Baba at that time, with sound advice on behavior (moral standards.)
The advice of father Brahma will be for the Brahmin children only, not for the “neighbors’ children.” The advice is usually related with a particular viewpoint, which cannot relate with the general world. In my view, the main aim in a Sakar Murli, is to bring about the challenging “reformation of the self” through a Divine link, which is not necessarily the experience of the rest of the world.
Without this reformation, for a BK soul; there will not be any other avenue to start spirituality and to grow from a child stage into spiritual maturity.
I felt that by “analyzing” the Murli, I was taking away the benefit that this will bring to new BKs like yourself. That is, for you to go and hear Murli class everyday ( As a Maryada) and for you to churn your “own ingredients,” (Shrimat) so out of those realizations and experiences; you could recognize your “next step” in life. Reformation is first and needed. Please take that “benefit” as it was meant to be 🙂
I am still sharing Murli points in articles, but as mentioned many times already; my main “meal” are avyakt Murlis at this stage of my BK life.
Therefore, I don’t know of any websites with the full Sakar Murli in them, and if I knew; I wouldn’t share that information.
Best wishes!
Question: Dear brother, Great service, keep up the good work, do you have any plan for murli classes or knowledge churning thru webinar in the future?
Dear soul, Thank you for your kind words.
I am a student just like you sharing this understanding of gyan through the lenses of my own experience as a Brahmin soul. There are some souls who are good speakers and could convey their message through their speech and the Brahma Kumaris Organization has many teachers already who can do that service through speech.
This role is a writer and a poet. Written words are my preferred means of communication. However, I am always open for possibilities.
Best wishes!
Question: Dear brother, can i ask a personal question.:-) U live alone, listen to murli daily, cook food by yourself, go to work, churn the murli daily, write articles on different points which open the depth of gyan, answer all the questions asked daily. Please share how do you manage time ?
Thank you for your question!
This is my life, right now. I have pretty much a set schedule for everything. The Drama has provided the means so I can write often throughout the day.
Cooking is something which I do without spending much time in the kitchen. I eat a very simple diet.
I have to keep my mind busy in “service,” and this is the means that the Drama has given me. It took sometime to accept it, but it is finally “sinking in.” 🙂
Best wishes!
Question: What do you mean in “light of pure gyan”?
Thank you for your question! 🙂
I am “coining” my own vocabulary to refer to same recurrent items.
For instance, when i say “Santa Claus explanation,” it refers to the explanation we give to little children so they can do what we would like them to do without giving them the “true facts,” for they may not understand.
Similarly, when I say “PURE GYAN,” I am referring to churning knowledge based on specific pieces of knowledge which are the “columns” of gyan. What are those? The soul, the Supreme Soul, Karma, Drama, repetition, predestination, entropy, 3 worlds, reincarnation, eternity, eternal return, numberwise.
Once we understand all of that and how those concepts are related and interwoven, how the pieces come together to solve the “puzzle of life,” then there is no devotional talk or “Santa Claus” explanation that could fool us. That is how regardless of the popular “Baba says that He creates the Drama” is mentioned, once we understand those concepts which Baba Himself has explained many times with different depth, then there is no way that we could “buy” the Santa “trick.” For that we need depth of understanding and for that, we need to churn gyan without “fear” of not conforming with a dogmatic view. A churning has the support of those “columns” mentioned above to be considered valid, otherwise it is just plain “manmat.”
If you have fear of any kind and your aim is to conform rather than find truth, then you are not churning gyan, you are just “repeating” old lines.
Best wishes!
Reader comment on “churning: of “Mama’s murli 8-17-12”
Note that the experience of the “dot” is not explained there but in the Avyakt Murlis, which is Brahma Baba again in a different stage.
Reader’s note:
i remember Baba mentioning, “Remember me in Paramdham as a point of light.” And Brhma Baba’s favourite point was to be – nirakari /incorporeal, egoless and viceless.
Avyakt7 responds:
In my experience what has helped me from “imagining” things is what BapDada mentioned here:
http://bkgyan.com/2012/08/07/spiritual-efforts-eureka-the-avyakt-stage-baby-steps/
That is what I meant by the explanation of the point.
Note Mama’s explanation of God as a “living being.” It is mentioned:” Living means God also has a mind an intellect.”
Reader’s note:
May be this used to be her belief before Baba explained clearly about Him being Abhokta, Akarta, and Ashochta.
Avyakt7 reponds:
That is right. This is the proof that gyan is an on-going discovery.
Note that all religious founders took a body but stayed in the Drama by reincarnating. It seems that God has the ability to “come and go” as He wishes into the physical realm without being bound by the Drama to stay in the physical world. Gyan show us that when a soul takes a body, that soul must stay until the cycle finishes.
Reader’s note:
Brother, please leave these points about which we do not have any authority to say. God being unique, He will not take a physical birth. When a soul (not the Supreme Soul) takes up another souls’ body and functions through that, he still can not experience the ‘pain’ of the original owner of that body. That soul would have some power to use the rented body but can not experience everything. If that is the case with a soul, the capacity/ and functioning of the Supreme Soul could be much more different.
Why put thoughts in others’ minds, the thoughts which we have no proof for? It may lead some souls into doubting even other points in the murali. Some souls may lose respect for muralis too and ultimately leave gyan. This is creating a negative karma.
Avyakt7 responds:
Dear soul, when we churn knowledge, we need to be open to possibilities. To churn to support a particular belief system is not churning. “Gyan is an on-going discovery,” it is not finished yet. I am not giving “proof,” I am churning based on Murli points and someone else’s churning.
Please be aware that there are many websites already, where souls can go if they want to leave gyan and need support for that. This one is meant to churn gyan. I feel that to support “obscurity” when knowing truth, leads to negative karma rather than to inquire and discover things by churning gyan in an honest way.
In today’s Murli (8-18-12) Baba responded to your concern: “His part is unique. Completely different from anyone else’s.” (Mentioned in today’s Sakar Murli comment.) That is the magic of the Murli and the response was immediate. No further “proof” needed.
