Energetic exchange

When we speak, we emit a distinctive noise when our emotional state is altered.

For most individuals, this is “normal.” Typically in a meeting or a gathering, when we do not hear the meaning of the words, but just the noise itself, we could “hear” someone’s emotional state with ease.

The same “job” of listening to others, we could do it with ourselves. If we have difficulties in observing how an emotion could overcome us, just listening to the noises being made through our own mouths, could easily let us know about our state of mind.

The above is a significant practice. It is about observing ourselves. It is only when we catch ourselves in a state other than at “ease and peace,” that we could have the possibility to go back to it. That is the work of observation.

Typically, the vibrations, atmosphere or environment will have a great effect on our mind. If we are seating in front of confrontational individuals, and eating lunch with them; do not expect to have a good digestion. Your stomach will tense up. That tension will not allow for a proper digestion.

If we eat and watch a TV program charged with fear, fights, and negativity; the undiscerning mind will take all of that and become it.

Fear, tension and negativity will be the outcome of it.

The above just shows our interdependence with the environment. That is why eating should be a sacred moment, a moment to process our symbolic union with the environment.

Nourishment is not only about eating vitamins and essential minerals along with the groups of food; but even more important, it is about the complete experience of being part of a “symbiotic” relationship or experience with the whole of existence.
The “outside” becomes part of the “inside.”

Without this observation, we will never know how our emotional state of being is what it is.
Today moody. Tomorrow, elated. The day after, sad. Why is that?
For most “normal” individuals, the answer of that question is irrelevant if they could swallow a pill to feel ”better.”

Are we then dependent on the environment? Do we have a defense when we are around hostile environments?

In Spirituality, everything is about transformation. That is why, things are not rejected; but transformed. Things are accepted to be transformed.
Those things could be experiences; they could be feelings and emotions. The heart is the greatest transformer of energy and vibrations. To learn to close our open channels represented by the main entrance points in the being (7 main chakras) is a sure way to protect the self. To do that, we need to be aware of our environment. We need to learn to observe.

A thought filled with negativity, the bothersome feeling about being in a bad situation will become poison for the self. Thus, the heart needs to radiate its energy as protection. This is the “reason” behind sending “good feelings and good wishes for all.”

If we are not sending/giving energy; then we are taking energy in. If what we are taking in hasn’t been transformed; then we become what the outside emits.

We become “normal.”

If we take the time to sit and check ourselves, we will find out about a turmoil going on, which we could put in the back burner by “becoming busy.” If we do not catch that bothersome sensation, we have missed the opportunity to transform it and with that the opportunity to appreciate the ongoing game of giving and taking energy, which is of paramount importance to understand if we would like to keep smiling despite the ongoing things around us.

Nature is one of the greatest source for recharging the self with “new” energy. That energy has the strength to renew the self.

Not being aware of this interdependence is to live in isolation.

Question: How to differntiate between: “Behad ka vairagya i.e. unlimited disinterest” and negativity? Because sometimes I feel that I do not have any role to play anymore in my “Soul” in lokik (and I should totally dedicate myself to Godly Service) so is it unlimited disinterest or Negativity towards”Karma”?

Interesting question, Thank you.

“Unlimited disinterest, ” is not a dictionary word to look up. It is an experience and if you have experienced it, you will see that it is the most “positive” thing there is. It is the complete “opposite” of negativity.

Let me describe what I have experienced. “Unlimited disinterest” is a sense of knowing that everything which happens in our life is just an scene in the Drama and we have experienced that before.

Please do not take that from the “intellectual” viewpoint, but though gyan we are able to feel it and to watch things happening from a “distance.” That means that “normal” things do not bother you at all. One example in my life is the ‘importance’ that I gave to having a job. I had a well paid job at one point in my career and money in the bank as well. Once i lost that job, I started to panic. Even though I had money in the bank, I wanted to get a job similar to the one I had. This happened early in my BK “spiritual career.” I did not have faith in the Drama. I heard that many times in the Murli, but practically, I had none. I wanted things my way, and i wanted those things NOW.

I learned through life “pains” to have trust in the Drama as I saw how things worked out beautifully as long as spirituality was my main objective. I have been in so many jobs since then, and even though my monies were gone, I have never had a problem as far as how I will survive tomorrow. The Drama/Baba took care of me. Recently and after many years, the Drama gave me a job similar to what I had before, even when my “skills” in that particular trade were obsolete. That gave me faith in the Drama, so when a person is suffering because they lost a job; i am “detached” from that suffering.

I understand the suffering of that person, because I have been through it; but at the same time I had the faith that the Drama will provide when the time comes. In a few words, That episode of losing employment does not affect me anymore. Not because I have a bank account or because I know a VIP in such and such position, but because I know about the Drama. This is unlimited disinterest based on gyan. In that stage I could be supportive of that person without her “issues” affecting me.

In your case, doing “Godly service” can happen at any place at any time and in any circumstance. You are doing Godly service when you are with lokiks, no when you go away from them. BUT, you will “do real Godly service” when you have imbibed this knowledge, when there is “self service” first.

I have the impression that you feel that doing “Godly service” is to be a center niwasi, (being away from lokiks) dress in white and wear your badge for ‘official service.’ Nothing wrong with that if that is your call in life, but that is not the only way. Service is unlimited and for that, we need unlimited disinterest for then we become a “care free” emperor, a true child of the Almighty Father.

To answer your question now: It is unlimited disinterest if you feel that you want to help others. It is “negativity” if you feel that you want to get out of this world, this “lokik” world to be with “Godly Swans” only so you can serve the “lokiks.”

There couldn’t be service when there is division between the “lokiks” and the “alokiks.”

Best wishes!

Question: i want to get your advice or views on how should be our way of reaction or attitude towards bad people/people with negativity….? That means gossip around talk bad things waste time on talking and thinking bad About others…dont know how to respect people n be a barrier in service?.

Thank your for your question.

BapDada has given the answer to this in the last avyakt Murli (7-29-12.) Constant pure feelings and good wishes. This is not as simple as it sounds for we need to get out of our “old pattern” of negativity, of looking for someone to blame things on.

As your feelings, then your activities will be. People will show you what you are. They are mirrors. Even though you can see such behavior, “see but don’t see.” It is important not to react. What is important is to feel those good wishes and to have the merciful stage which BapDada talks about. Do what you will, it would be what is “right” as long as your feelings are “right.”

Best wishes.
