A lesson in Appreciation
Ananda experienced what is like to have an infected finger this past week. The physical “cause” was a piece of yellow squash that got into his index finger while cooking. The underlying “reason” was a buildup of emotionality that needed to come out. The past couple of weeks brought the experience as if everything in “his” world was falling on him. There is a time in Life where we learn how to swim in a nice environment. There is another time, when we need to put that skill into practice while in the “real” Ocean and not a swimming pool anymore.
It took one week for the finger to show symptoms of infection: It swallowed up, hurting with a dull heartbeat, changing color, etc.
Mathias helped Ananda through this “experience.”
Raysha (Ananda’s sister and channel of Mathias) observed how Mathias used some sort of needle of energy, to pull something out of Ananda’s finger. Ananda did not see or felt anything. Mathias then told Ananda to put the finger into a solution of water and baking soda for a few minutes. Ananda felt a relief immediately!
Mathias said: “Your body wants to get rid of the element, but it cannot. That obstruction caused the infection. But behind that infection, there is trapped emotionality inside you due to persistent thoughts.”
Ananda was thankful and appreciative of Mathias and Raysha.
Ananda felt very lucky for not having to see a regular doctor. However, he had to go through the “natural process” of dis-infection.
The finger was in pain for a couple of days. Woke him up at night. Mathias mentioned to apply ice to help in the healing process.
The finger turned into different colors: black with white indentations and red in the periphery. It was an “ugly sight.” Doubts came into Ananda’s mind. Perhaps he needed a regular doctor?
Mathias asked: “Are you finding difficulty to go through the natural process? Once that emotionality goes away from you, so will be the inflammation. You have 2 paths: You could go through the experience of natural healing and take away a valuable lesson OR you may want to get help from Science to make the recovery quicker, but you may not be aware of a lesson. Both paths are fine.”
Ananda went with the natural process.
Mathias said: ”Many times in the process of Life, things get ugly before they move into balance. Those who are not aware of this process do not know the end result and they become anxious and suffer by trying to change things when it is not their time. Only those who are ready to see a lesson, will take that experience as an opportunity for growth.”
So, what was the lesson that Ananda learned through this process?
Ananda learned about the “true” meaning of appreciation.
Many times, Ananda heard this word and even used it in many of his “spiritual” articles. It is a pretty word. Something everyone likes to hear. However, it was truly an ideal, a “concept.”
A “little” finger infection was able to move Ananda’s world into discomfort. Ananda learned to appreciate his health. Something that otherwise, he usually takes for granted. That appreciation is a source of happiness: His world could be upside down, but he is healthy. He can enjoy Life in many ways thanks to health. It is ironic how we need to “lose” something to appreciate it. That was another well-known, pretty phrase, that finally has meaning for him.
Life continually teaches us and will give us the tools for growth in consciousness. We are not willing to learn. We want to “change the world” to fit our ideas.
Unless we are ready to see, we will not see… but yet we are unwilling to trust Life to lead us. We want to see the world as built through the conditionings of our mind. That is why, we cannot AWAKEN. Our eyes are closed in our dreamy world of made up “realities.”
Epilogue: Death is a window until the door is shown
Life presents different perspectives from different people who are under the same situation.
A friend mentioned: “I know what is like to lose a father.”
We can only know about our own experience. Let us not generalize. If a particular experience was full of sorrow, pain and uncertainty; then the expectation is that everyone should experience the same thing.
That belief, does not allow for openness in our consciousness for the “I” becomes the center of the Universe.
“I feel this way, therefore; everyone else must.”
Ananda’s sister; Raysha, is gifted with a high sensitivity.
Raysha saw her father sitting by a lake in a region of white light. He looked much younger and his body was of white light. They spoke to each other. Raysha noticed that his father did not have any emotions in him.
Ananda asked Mathias, the wise tree about this episode.
Mathias responded: “ When you get re-set, you do not have any experiences in you. ”
Ananda: “Re-set?…But if my father was “re-set,” what is the benefit of going through the previous experiences if he will be in “zero” mode?”
Mathias: “ He will take with him what he needs for his next life experience.”
Ananda thought: “ But…who gets to give him what he needs for his next experience?”
Mathias said: “ The Totality.”
Ananda smiled: “ I understand now, Mathias… Thank you.”
Our minds are framed in the belief of being separated. It is that “I” with is own stubbornness and pride who fights to continue on. That belief is so enrooted in our bodies and mind which only allow us to perceive this individuality, separation. That is the cause of suffering and it is suffering the one who will burn that “I” until it gives up, surrenders, bows down, let go, etc. Use the word you wish, but we get the idea.
When that happens, a new experience awaits.
That “burning” can take many years of suffering or just a month of “intense fire” like in Ananda’s father’s case.
Then, according to what is needed in the Totality, the Universe, life, etc; the drop of water will be ready to appear in another place, another time, another circumstance to perform a particular task needed for self-preservation of that Totality.
That is the moment when the “I” will be born again.
Observe that I could label any of the words above with religious terms.
I could call the “Totality” as “God.” I could name the region of white light as “the subtle region.”
I could call that experience of “purging the I” as purgatory, hell, punishment, etc.
I could call Ananda’s father as an “angel.”
Forget the labels.
What you interpret, dear reader; out of all the experiences that I have shared with you up to this point, is your interpretation. That could range from “nonsense, false, true, the holy truth, etc.”
It does not matter to Ananda the way the above is interpreted. Ananda only shares his experiences here, for the common good.
What is the epilogue of the characters of this story of life?
For Raysha, it is to know that his Father is doing alright. A sense of closure. To know that Life does not end when the body perishes. That is no longer a belief. That experience of dealing with his father’s passing was a source of internal growth, the kind which no book, lesson or “spiritual teaching” could ever give.
For Ananda it is the trigger to recognize that “I.”
To dissolve all his previous religious beliefs and to “re-set” his mind into the wonderful and amazing experience of living life with joy. The teacher and the student are the same. However, life is the teacher… and there are friends to listen to in life. 🙂
For Ananda’s mother is the time to deal with herself. That is to experience loneliness and attachment. She has lived for 50 years with her husband.
Some may say: Is to have a relationship “bad”?
Not at all. She grew with the support of that relationship, now the opposite must be experienced. That is the world of duality. If there was no “I” in her, how could she experience loneliness or attachment?
Some religions or beliefs will state that it is best “not to open karmic accounts.”
That “black or white” belief, does not take into account that every experience in life is an opportunity for growth. It is not the action in itself but the state of consciousness. It is not the time that we spend being “spiritual” but our readiness through life experiences.
If we don’t experience, we do not learn. If we don’t suffer, we do not grow. If we don’t know our limits, we cannot go over them.
For Ananda’s little brother, the time has arrived to walk his own path into life, for if he remains in dependency; he will miss the experience of life through his own lenses.
Ananda’s father got liberated from his decaying physical body and in the process; he has obtained a new consciousness.
Therefore, everyone gets benefit.
To live life is an awesome experience, thus; to be amazed by it, to be in gratitude to it; to completely appreciate it as it presents itself… that is to be in love with it…is the greatest experience.
The fight will continue until it is over
Raysha and Ananda’s father, keeps “fighting for his life” at the hospital.
He is hooked up to feeding tubes and a respirator, which provides 75% of his breathing.
Ananda’s mother is suffering by seeing that scene. Ananda’s father is conscious but unable to communicate. He seems to “come and go” from that state.
Even though the doctors know that there is “no hope,” their role is to keep him “alive” as much as possible.
Euthanasia is forbidden in that country, for the catholic belief is that “ an innocent life is being taken.” “Human life has a dignity which needs to be absolutely respected.”
Lost in words and concepts, “respect” becomes another philosophical debate of “pros” and “cons” which legislature will be fond on getting into.
But that doesn’t solve the “experience” of Ananda’s father. The “black and white” belief of a religion supported by legislature is meaningless when your father is the one experiencing their rigid views.
Raysha took her father’s hand and told him about the story of “life after this life.”
Ananda spoke with Mathias, the wise tree; about this incident.
Mathias: “Do you think that your father is suffering in that experience?”
Ananda: “Yes and No. When he is conscious of the hospital it is yes. When he is conscious of the other experience that he had with you and Raysha in a different realm, obviously not.”
Mathias: “ Your father wants to keep fighting. He requested that to the family in a conversation about death and dying. The question was, what would you like to happen if you are in a hospital unable to speak for yourself? He said: “Fight it until there is no more.” Do you remember that? “
Ananda: “Yes… but there are others seeing that scene as well….why continue with this when there is no hope? Why go through that suffering?”
Mathias: “ Suffering is the way that life has to make someone bow down. When there are layers of arrogance and pride, suffering will break that mentality. Don’t you think that when you feel as if your heart is about to explode from your chest, that this is the best time to learn and think about detachment in life?”
Ananda: “No. “
Mathias: “Yes. It is. That lesson will be learned rapidly in that intensity. It is necessary for the next stage when Mathias will present you father to the Gods of Olympus. You know that there is no death. If Ananda knows that, what should be his attitude to others who are suffering by watching the scene? The answer is not intellectual. Feel it.”
Ananda:” To accept things as they are. To feel compassion towards my family clan. We are all together in this, related. Compassion because I feel their suffering, but at the same time, I know that a lesson of life needs to be learned.”
Ananda’s mother didn’t want to go to the hospital to see her husband in that condition. She felt pressured by the “ El que diran” (The unspoken belief in latin-american culture that every person’s actions in society are subject to the scrutiny and criticism of every person they know.) Ananda gave her comfort by assuring her that no one in the family will judge her. She needs to recuperate. Everyone has a limit and she has reached hers.
The “black and white” laws and religious beliefs are completely unaware of human intention. The action is not the problem but the intention is.
Since we cannot “measure” intentions with honesty, we cannot create laws for society. That is why, laws are only based on actions and to label them as “good and bad” becomes necessary.
Inner honesty is the main requisite which will allow someone to live harmoniously… even to sleep well, until death arrives.
Be true, open and enjoy the lessons in life which will bring a different consciousness, to look at things from yet another perspective.
No dogma included nor laws to abide.
Godly Leadership
It was a sunny afternoon. The atmosphere felt pretty heavy due to the general human vibration of a continuous “diet” of worries, anxieties and stresses of the “modern” life. Despite that heaviness, Nature was very welcoming with its colorful beauty and its therapeutic scents in the park where Mathias, the wise tree; resides.
Raysha and Ananda wanted to speak with Mathias, but Raysha wasn’t able to hear him. Then, Raysha heard a voice: “ Wait. I will be right there soon,” and along with that voice she had a vision of beings of light reunited in a circle. It seemed like a council. A being of light flew to the middle of the circle to share something to the group, and then went back to his former place while another being of light shared in the middle of the circle in turn.
Mathias: “Welcome friends! I was in a council. Mathias feels very refreshed after one of those.”
Ananda: A council? What for?
Mathias: To maintain the balance on Earth. Some people are only destroying some parts of the Earth.
Ananda: Who is the leader of that council?
Mathias: Everyone shares.
Ananda: oh! No leader… interesting. That is unheard of in our society of human beings…I have a question related to that friend….
I have realized that God is conceived as a human idea only, which comes from the way that we have created this society. There is a government and there are people in a hierarchy. There is a leader and followers underneath. It seems to me that humans have arranged the same idea for the Divine. There is God and other “governors” underneath with their representatives on Earth…. Angels, archangels, saints, etc. Isn’t this correct?
Mathias: Friend; Mathias just came from a council and you asked if there was someone who was the leader. Mathias told you that it was a sharing. That is what you mean in your question?
Ananda: I refer to the human idiosyncrasy. God is the king, the father. He is the one who decides and manages things and underneath him there are people who “represent” him. A human form to follow. The point here is not about the existence of God. That is not the point. I am just referring to our human vision towards that which only projects a belief based on what is known to humans.
Mathias: About that human vision, you could speak better than Mathias.
Mathias will only say that the one which you call God is a fantastic being.
Ananda: A being….
Mathias: Fantastic being, my friend!
Ananda: But now, there is no being which I call God.
Mathias: The way you conceived God before and the way you conceive God now has changed…only in your mind and your heart; but essentially it remains the same.
Ananda: That is an interesting answer. Mathias does not truly answer my question but Mathias allows me to experience and open myself to discover through my own changes.
You let me go with my ideas of the moment, and even though I may have asked the same question before in a different way, your answer is not the same now… I could see that an authoritative answer such as : “God is this” will only limit my own discovery; then I could say that God is a discovery…
Mathias: Which you will discover according to your location…
Ananda: Location?
Mathias: The way your consciousness is situated to observe. Your perception goes according to that.
There is a painting. Many people will look at it in a different way according to their location.
Ananda: Then, even though those are different locations, none of them is wrong… but humans are always trying to convince others about the righteousness of their own perceptions, their own locations.
Mathias: Why Mathias should try to change you? To beautify you but not to change you.
Ananda: Mathias you helped me to know myself as a being…
Mathias: Mathias only helped with a snip here and a snip there to beautify that small growing plant who is now a shrub. Mathias did not change your essence.
Ananda: Interesting way that you have to interact. It is definitely not human…
Mathias: Which is neither good nor bad, only different…
Ananda: yes… only different, my friend!
Return to your origins – By Mathias
Raysha was reunited with her friend Mathias, the wise tree.
In their conversation, Raysha was experiencing a problem with a woman. The issue was related with loyalty and distrust.
Raysha : Why is it said that a woman’s worst enemy is another woman?
Mathias : When a woman has mistrust, pain or internal voids , then it is difficult for her to be loyal to another woman.
However, that pain can become the key to a ¨rebirth¨ because it stimulates the participant to deepen inside and evacuate all fears, inoculated through mental or physical words.
Raysha thought about the answer and then asked:
Is that internal void equal to what is known as being empty or emptiness?
Mathias: No
Raysha: What is Emptiness?
Mathias replied:
Emptiness is the most delightful experience because it develops the female part, that is creativity in the art of ¨decorating ¨ the new. For something to be ¨new, ¨ it has to be empty. When the self is empty is has space for new decorations with that which comes in our life as newness.
The skill to match ¨colors¨ depends on your self-assurance and desire to risk when conscious that everything from the past is already lost.
Raysha : What do you call distrust ?
Mathias : Distrust allows you to ¨learn to bail .¨ (rhyme in Spanish ¨desconfianza¨= distrust and ¨fianza¨= to bail.) This means that despite the error, you might be free again.
The time which has been experienced as a ¨prison¨ was just a moment to stop in the race of ¨obsession.¨
Distrust also brings new reasons for caution.
Thanks to this, there is development of harmonic movement, which carries a natural connection with the atmosphere; that is the connection with the environment, with Nature.
Help is only help at the right time
Mathias, the wise tree; had some healing powers. By using the wisdom of Nature, Mathias could help heal human beings from different diseases.
One day, Raysha; one of Mathias’ friend; brought a doctor close to Mathias.
The medical doctor was very sick. Raysha thought that Mathias could help him heal.
Mathias asked for the doctor to touch the Earth and to extend his right hand, up towards the sky.
Mathias “scanned” the doctor and without a doubt told him what he had to do.
Mathias said: “Doctor, place your back on Mathias’ trunk.”
The doctor placed his back in the trunk of the tree. The doctor felt some sort of energy coming to him. It was an overwhelming healing energy which left the doctor immersed into it.
The doctor rested for a few minutes and he felt well. He felt that his health was coming back to him!
🙂
The doctor left Mathias’ park with gratitude.
Raysha couldn’t wait to speak about this “miracle” to his friend, Ananda.
Raysha said: “ Mathias healed the doctor. That doctor has been sick for sometime and no one was able to cure him. Now, he is well.”
Ananda responded:” Really? I have a friend as well who is sick. She is a spiritual woman, and so far no one has been able to do anything for her…. I will bring her to Mathias.”
Raysha: “Who is that friend?”
Ananda: “Her name is Paula.”
The following day, Ananda brought her friend to Mathias. Ananda was hoping for her to be cured right there.
Ananda spoke to Mathias: “Mathias, here is Paula. She is a spiritual person and right now she is very sick. Can your help her?”
Mathias, welcomed Paula and asked her to touch the ground, the Earth with one hand and to raise the other hand with her palm towards the sky.
Mathias then spoke: “ Paula, when Winter time approaches, you could send healing thoughts to Nature and use the feelings of your heart to heal Nature with your vibrations.”
Paula was confused. She asked: “ When am I going to get well?”
Mathias answered: “Paula, you will. Now, Mathias has to go.” Then, Mathias stopped speaking.
Ananda was wondering what was going on? Mathias did not heal Paula. Ananda thought all sorts of things and felt ashamed in front of Paula…. 😦
A few days later, Ananda went back to the park to speak with Mathias. Ananda had a demanding vibe in him.
Ananda: ” Mathias, why you didn’t help my friend Paula? She was sick. Raysha told me that you cured the old doctor the other day, but when it is about my friends, you don’t do a thing… I thought we were friends…”
Mathias allowed Ananda time to expel his frustration and calmly said:
Mathias:” Friend, help can only be given when a person is ready and desires to be helped. The doctor got his disease by helping others to get well. Paula got hers by her own doing. The doctor learned through this disease to feel greater empathy for humanity. His lesson came to an end.
Paula is not ready yet.”
Ananda: “What do you mean that she is not ready yet? She wants to be cured!”
Mathias: “ Friend, through that disease Paula needs to learn about herself. If she is cured right now; she will get sick again, because she is causing that disease through her own doing. She needs to realize what is that. Also, she is not totally ready. Paula says that she wants to be cured but she is not willing to let go of her old habits. “
Ananda: ” So, why instead of saying that, you ask her to send good vibrations to Nature; isn’t that a joke ?”
Mathias: ” Friend, when you help others, when you help the Earth; you are helping yourself. Don’t you know that? Once her mind and heart are tuned into a different direction; then healing will happen.”
Ananda: ” But why don’t you tell her that?”
Mathias: ” Because it is not the time for her to know that. She needs to experience. Life will bring certain experiences for her and then she will understand what Mathias told her. To help is not always to take the burden out of someone, but to allow that person to realize though her own experiences the significance of carrying a burden so she can decide for herself the right time to get rid of it.”
Ananda: “In Spiritually we call that ”settling karmic accounts.” Paula hasn’t settled her yet; right?”
Mathias: ” If you wish to call her own learning experience as “karma,” then be it. That lesson will be invaluable in her spiritual life. Mathias has utter respect for her own process. Friend, Do you understand now?”
Ananda:” yes… but how do I know if my help is really helping another accurately?”
Mathias: “When you stop thinking about it to let empathy arise.”
