Below are notes from a reader about a couple of articles shared here.
REFLECTION OF MIND = SPIRITUAL STAGE
Dear divine brother/sister,
Shiv Baba, the Supreme Soul is also a Supreme Teacher. No mortal can be His equal. So learn from Him. Take guidance from Him. and No one else. ALL OF THIS IS REPEATEDLY COMING IN THE MURLAI CLASS- which are regularly and daily held in all 8500 Yog-centres of Brahma Kumaris in 135 countries. All these teaching from the Supreme require nothing more than your presence. In this way, u shall avoid all the confusing and contrasting knowledge from different sources. This era called Kali-Yug in Indian scripture is famous as the era of MASS-CONFUSION because of the multiple theories, multiple teachers with their whims, fancies and indiosyncracies borne out of their Body-consciousness.
Remebrance of God, the Conscient point light , just like we the souls, with a single point focus of thoughts, is the only way to attain Satvik or Soul consciousness. With regular practice of meditation for greater and greater duration[Shiv baba says for minimum 8 hours]soon one attains as well feels this stage. A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step. Take one step and u shall soon realize that the Supreme Soul is helping u million times more. In that way, the journey becomes ever enriching and ever progressing. The sadhak or the practitioner himself or herself feels it.In that way one requires guidance from none else than the Supreme Soul, The Supreme Teacher.Believe, Experiment then experience.
i am telling from 15 years of my experience.Every thing is very easy. Our mind and guidance from the mortals make it complicated.
Need for visualization-
Visualization or guided imagery is a powerful mind-empowerment technique in psychiatry.
Another powerful technique for enhancing Mind-power or self-determination is SELF-HYPNOSIS OR AUTOSUGGESTION.
Rajayoga has three steps-
1] Bring the consciousness to Focus on the soul- an imaginary conscient point of light in the centre of the forehead[ This the psychiatrists call as visualiztion]. One passively observes thoughts going at the speed of a super fast train.Again an autosuggestion- LET GO. LET GO. DO NOT CLING.DO NOT CLING.
AFTER SOME TIME, THE FOCUS SETS IN. This is felt by the reduction in the speed of thoughts.u now able to judge the quality of thoughts- 98% negative or waste-they deplete the life-force[Prana].2% positive. Once again an autosuggestion- my negative thoughts are getting burnt out, deleted from my minds computer.
At one point of time the negative thoughts do get deleted. At this stage, positive join with consciousness which then internalizes
2] Internalization- felt by u in the form of totally relaxed physical state[Biological Relaxation Response or BRR] and a totally relaxed as well as focused state of Mind[ The Zone].In this phase, any autosuggestion given to mind goes into the deepest part of subconscious mind and gets permanently rooted there. In this way the cancers have been cured[Psycho-oncology].Intractable addictions disappear permanently.
Actually, I the soul is the master of of mind.If i go on telling “I cant visualize”the mind thinks the master is ordering not to visualize. So u stop visualizing or feel that u r unable to visualize. Contrarily,
Give the autosuggestion- I command mind and so i can visualize or nothing is impossible for me.Within 7 days to 3 months of this practice daily,u shall find that impossible becomes I am possible.
3]Cosmic communion- This stage is pure visualization.U imagine your soul has come out from your body, traversing in the cosmos to meet your Supreme Father, u meet , stand in front of Him.Now, the powerful white rays of purity and red rays of power that are emanating from the Supreme Father, are entering me thE soul.ALL OF THIS IS VISUALIZATION.
So dear friend, give positive auto-suggestions and avoid negative self-hypnosis which, right now u r doing.
If one can imagine very easily to be in the bed with most beautiful girl[ if one is a normal male] or with a handsom male[ if one is a normal female], then why it should be very difficult to imagine that u r with God and drawing all kinds of power from Him.
What do u say dear soul?
It is interesting the contradictions that we can inadvertently get into.
First, you mention to just follow the teachings of ShivBaba (Actually should be BapDada) which are given at “8500 centres worldwide,” and then you give your own class on visualization for meditation, which I have never heard coming from the same Murlis that you mentioned to follow in the first place. 🙂
For your information, what I share is based on my own experience as what you have shared in your meditation/visualization note. Nothing wrong with that as long as we realize that those are our experiences.
Personally, I do not need to visualize too much anything as I can feel. Why imagine if I can experience right away? 🙂 Feeling is the experience itself.
However, we are all different and as you know BapDada has given many types of advice regarding remembrance. He hasn’t given a formula nor a recipe for every soul needs to find that for themselves.
There is no need to “close doors” to anything. There is no need to discard anything for all is useful. Spiritual knowledge is universal and for that reason, the explanations are similar in many religions and philosophies although the language and terminology may differ. In this openness, acknowledgement of other thoughts and religions is important, for we are a worldwide family.
This is the setting now in 2013; when information is coming from many directions, and rather than rejecting things left and right, to follow the “only way” it is important to learn to take aspects from others which we consider helpful to our own growth and which will help us to understand better our own religion.
BapDada mentions: “See specialties in others.” That is the vision.
Truth is meant to flow uninhibited and like water it is not meant to stay in someone’s closed hand.
Om Shanti. Dear Brother, As I’m a new Brahmin Soul, I got this doubt. How come the supreme soul can clear our karmic accounts when we are in his remembrance. May be we can receive the fruit of remembrance in an other way rather than clearing our karmic accounts. If his remembrance is clearing our accounts means, the Law of Karma is not applied here because what we have to get the return for what we have done in the past 2500 years. How can we get 2 benefits( clearing past account as well as bright future) at a time? My other doubt is : Is supreme soul is also bound by the drama i.e Drama is more powerful than supreme soul? Another doubt : I know that still I’m in body consciousness and I have to make effort to reach soul consciousness state. My view of Supreme soul (shiva baba) as a male (in a subtle way or subconsciously) is obstructing my progress? What are the signs when we reach soul consciousness stage. I feel that not becoming angry (in any situation) or no lustful thoughts etc. are not the signs of soul consciousness state. we can experience something more when we reach the soul consciousness state. What is your view on this?
Thank you for your great questions!
Karmic accounts will always work as supposed. Remembrance allow us to experience a soul conscious stage by submerging older sanskaras (vices.) Let us say that you fall in love with a sister at the center. That is a karmic account. You cannot feel the same feeling for anyone else. Karmic account. Your love is not reciprocal. That is suffering. A Karmic account. Let us say that in that suffering you engage yourself in remembrance, little by little that attraction goes away because the account is being settled. There is still suffering but it is “less than before.” A point will come when that attraction will go away. The karmic account is over. The interchange of suffering with remembrance allow us to settle a karmic account. That have “cleared our karmic account” with that person in this particular item. At the same time, with less karmic accounts to deal with, then soul consciousness will appear naturally. Let us remember that we are not soul conscious totally until karmic accounts are settled. that is what experiencing “punishment” means (Dharamraj) it means that some karmic accounts are remaining. Less Karmic accounts to settle, means greater soul consciousness. On that basis, the “status” is given; that is the “return.” (bright future as you mentioned.)
On your second item; the words “more powerful,” are not accurate. God belongs into the Drama. This is not a question of who is more powerful? (Usually we can see this in the Q/A of a Sakar Murli) for the Drama is not “someone,” like God. There are many comments in Sakar Murlis in this blog, where it is pointed out that the “praise” of the Drama should be given rather than God’s alone; but then; remembrance is not about the Drama; but to remember God (His nature) so we can remember ourselves.
On your last question, less vices means more soul consciousness. Many times we try to “act” virtuous. That is artificial. Paradoxically, the way to emerge those virtues, is through remembrance. Therefore, more remembrance, greater soul consciousness. Thta is why, this knowledge is about soul consciousness, that is remembrance, that is about settling karmic accounts. We settle those accounts by suffering (experience) or by yoga (remembrance) usually it is a combination of both.
In lieu of today’s Murli, (January 13, 2013) I wanted to clarify my comments on the avyakt Murli of today.
The avyakt Murli of today which originally was spoken on 10/20/75, mentioned the following:
“However, the first precaution or the first code of conduct is to belong to the one Father and none other. You have to remain powerful in this awareness. You do not observe this main precaution constantly, but you deceive yourself instead and think: I belong to Shiv Baba anyway. Who else is mine? However, you should be such an embodiment of remembrance in a practical way that, apart from the one Father, no other person or object, relationship or connection, or any facility enters your awareness even in your thoughts. This is the strongest, that is, the main precaution. Because of being careless in observing this precaution, because of following the dictates of your own mind, because of the influence of the atmosphere or because of the influence of the company, you are unable to remain an embodiment of remembrance at all times. “
To make things interesting, I would like to draw your attention on this previous article. Please take the time to go through the links for you will find literal excerpts from different avyakt Murlis.
Here it goes: http://wp.me/p2fovd-15O
Now that you read all the links, we could have a better understanding of the meaning of “remembering Baba alone and no one else.”
I bring this to our attention because soul consciousness is the goal of this study.
Thank you for your kind words and question!
As long as you are having a fulfilling experience, you are in the right path.
Remembrance is personal and numberwise. I have shared in this blog my style of remembrance which at the same time changes in time as I change.
For me it is important to feel the soul to get into that soul conscious state and to stay there. That soul after all is “me.” Those qualities are in “me” already as it is in God because God is also another soul. We are “like the Father” when we are in that consciousness.
Your experience will be very personal, but rather than thinking what Baba meant, experience it however you would like to experiment.
Experimenting gives you an experience, that experience is your own knowledge of things, which cannot be disputed, because you have experienced it.
Thank you for your question and your kind words… 🙂
You are right. Remembrance is not easy while you are going through “issues.” then, you have suffering as a “sure and easy” way to settle a karmic account. 🙂
In my experience, there is the suffering combined with the experience of completeness through yoga. You can call it “remembering Baba,” I call it, “experiencing soul consciousness.”
As our stage becomes stronger, things do not bother us the same way. Definitely, suffering is the indicator which will give us the “key” to make a change. I had karmic accounts which I have dealt for years. I see the improvement, so I know that I am settling those. It is no just “yoga” for most of us but it is mixed with settling through suffering. The bottom line is not to give up.
Great question, thank you!
There are many types of remembrance. The ones in the Sakar Murli are based usually on thinking as you mentioned. Remember the beloved and the inheritance. Remember the cycle; remember home; etc.
Avyakt Murlis on the other hand, introduces remembrance as an experience of the self; that is soul consciousness.
The Murli from April 17, 1969 is an example of that.
Last month in the avyakt Murlis, BapDada explained through a group of “seniors,” that to love the supreme in such as way as what the world considers to be “merged” in love with the one being loved, means to become in the same form as the Father. In other words, “To be merged in the Father means to become the same form as the Father.” (October 28, 2012)
Just last Sunday (November 25th, 2012) BapDada mentioned that in order to have all relationships with the Father, we need to become “detached observers,” first. You cannot become “truly” a detached observer unless you are soul conscious. That is the meaning of having all relationships with the Father.
Moreover, I have written several articles already when I am demonstrating that in soul consciousness there is no separation; between “you and me.” That is body consciousness.
In my experience, experiencing the self, the soul and its qualities of pure bliss is in a way remembering the Father. The same qualities are there. A loving thought about the Father could bring this feeling, but ultimately thoughts are not the “objective,” but a tool to get us to feel what soul consciousness is all about.
We need to remember that Baba has mentioned that in order to remember the Father accurately, we need to remember the self first (be in soul consciousness first…) 🙂 Those who can listen….
and here another article about the topic: http://bkgyan.com/2012/10/29/experience-and-question-on-awareness-by-reader/
Therefore, to answer to your question, the thought merely starts the awareness. It is our job to maintain that through feelings and awareness… (in my experience so far.)
Thank you for your question! and I appreciate your kind words.. Yes, it takes time to answer questions and publish writings made from “scratch,” like bread recently taken out of the oven… It is worthwhile, because I love the smell of it.. 🙂 and others too!
Your time table is basically remembrance at any time that you remember, even at work; While you are driving to work, while you are driving back from work, while you take a break from work, etc.
That is depending on your circumstances.
As a Brahmin soul, Amrit vela is mandatory. You will make lots of progress if you stick with this and night meditation as well. Try to fit it at anytime you can after work. Finally, before retiring for the day, a few minutes of remembrance and to look introspectively at your day and to write down in your chart main aspects of your day with the remembrance you had.
